Remote Senior Forward Deployed Accountant

Overview

This role involves serving as a Forward Deployed Accountant (FDA) responsible for driving the adoption and technical success of AI-driven automation products tailored for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operationalize AI Agents to automate accounting workflows and enhance financial processes.
• Lead transformation engagements by diagnosing operational bottlenecks and identifying opportunities for automation.
• Collaborate with CFOs, Controllers, and other stakeholders to promote enterprise adoption, manage change, and realize return on investment.
• Perform technical troubleshooting including scripting, SQL queries, and system integrations.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to data flows and automation logic.
• Partner with Customer Success teams to improve product adoption and develop targeted implementation strategies.
• Provide strategic feedback to influence product development.
• Oversee implementation quality and consistency across multiple projects.
• Travel to customer sites to conduct deployments, training sessions, and workshops.
• Educate customers and internal teams on AI-enabled accounting transformation and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, auditing, controllership, or finance-related roles.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with workflow automation, SQL, APIs, and troubleshooting system integrations.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems, AI platforms, scripting languages, and finance transformation projects.
• Background in SaaS, process optimization, or automation tools.

Location

Travel to customer sites is required as part of the role.
