Remote Tax Accountant or Tax Supervisor

Overview

A growth-oriented CPA firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Supervisor for a remote position. This role involves managing complex tax engagements and providing advisory services while supporting business development and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
• Provide advisory support on succession, estate, and retirement planning
• Manage client relationships with a proactive, service-driven approach
• Mentor junior staff and facilitate internal knowledge sharing
• Engage in business development and client acquisition (for experienced candidates)
• Stay updated on tax legislation to inform client strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA designation preferred or in progress
• 4–8 years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong technical skills in compliance, research, and planning
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and UltraTax
• Organized, tech-savvy, and adaptable to a dynamic environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $95,000–$110,000
• Potential to earn $120,000+ for CPA-qualified candidates with advisory experience
