Overview

This role supports the Restructuring & Dispute Resolution practice within the Restructuring team. The position involves conducting financial and analytical work to support findings, expert reports, investigations, and client engagements.

The employer operates under a hybrid model. This role is considered remote, meaning job duties do not require performance within proximity of an office location. Remote employees may be required to be present at an office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and document review
  • Produce materials in preparation of findings and/or expert reports and results of investigations
  • Prepare information and analysis to help businesses and their counsel analyze profits, costs, cash flows, market trends, valuations, and other relevant data
  • Recognize project issues and risks and raise them to management
  • Interact directly with attorneys and/or client personnel, demonstrating business knowledge that builds client confidence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in forensic accounting/litigation support, insolvency accounting, including creditor committee and/or debtor bankruptcies, financial fraud investigation, financial modeling, ratio and comparable company analysis, preparation and/or review and analysis of financial statements and projections
  • Flexibility of work schedule to meet client needs required, including up to 25% travel
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause determination skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to extract useful information from large sets of unorganized or incomplete data
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment; self-starter and independent thinker
  • Action-oriented, decisive approach; willing to take a hands-on role to ensure deliverables are met on time with high quality
  • Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, CPA, CFE, or CIRA certification
  • Experience assessing business plans

Compensation & Benefits

  • New York salary range (Senior Associate): $85,000 to $140,000
  • Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
