Revenue Audit Specialist REMOTE

Overview

This position conducts audits, reviews royalty submission forms, and supports franchisees in the network. The role audits franchisee sales data, operational procedures, financial statements, royalty reports, and business processes to help ensure The UPS Store locations comply with the Franchise Agreement and Center Operations Manual.

The position also performs various audit types to support reporting compliance and helps achieve annual financial goals. Managing multiple tasks and prioritizing to meet department goals and deadlines is required.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly royalty reports for accuracy
• Conduct audits of center financial data and reporting
• Present audit findings and respond to follow-up communications
• Respond to royalty reporting and audit-related questions
• Conduct ad hoc audits as required

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles
• Ability to capture/document specific and accurate information; learn subjects thoroughly; complete work with thoroughness; provide appropriate details when requested; maintain organized files; and make independent decisions
• Understanding of basic financial terminology/concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, net income, and ability to conduct financial analyses
• Ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software; write basic queries; identify information needed to complete reports; and identify existing reports generated by others
• Strong communication skills, including discussing audit findings by preparing a final report
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, database creation/management, etc.) or similar software

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
• Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Experience conducting financial analysis
