Revenue Cycle Specialist - Coding

Overview

This role involves working as a Revenue Cycle Expert on a contract basis, focusing on improving AI model performance in healthcare revenue cycle evaluations. The position is remote and offers compensation between $45 and $65 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-horizon revenue cycle tasks with deterministic rubrics to evaluate agent performance against verifiable ground truth.
• Create scenarios related to front-end eligibility and prior authorization, charge entry, ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS coding, and denial analyses.
• Design tasks with checkable answers, avoiding open-ended essays and subjective judgment calls.
• Collaborate to ensure scenarios are challenging and require focused sessions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to enhance AI model accuracy in healthcare revenue cycle assessments.

Requirements

Must-Have

• Minimum of 3 years experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle.
• Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, denials and appeals, prior authorization, payer policy, or EHR billing workflows.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle artifacts such as coded encounters, claim forms, denial appeals, and payer correspondence.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate reasoning step-by-step and encode it into deterministic rubrics.

Preferred

• Certification such as CPC, CCS, COC, or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits

• Contract position paid hourly.
• Payment is made weekly via Stripe Connect.
