SAP Lease Accounting Consultant (CLM)

Overview

A client is seeking an SAP Lease Accounting Consultant for a 6-month project focused on ensuring compliance with lease accounting regulations and optimizing lease administration processes.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SAP S/4HANA Contract and Lease Management (CLM) and Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX) modules to accurately represent lease agreements, including contract setup, valuation parameters, and posting rules.
• Ensure lease accounting activities comply with IFRS 16 and ASC 842 standards, managing lease valuations, right-of-use asset and lease liability calculations, and generating financial postings and reports.
• Analyze current lease administration and accounting processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvements within SAP.
• Provide ongoing support and training to finance and real estate end-users to ensure effective use of the SAP Lease Management solution.
• Manage integration of SAP Lease Management with other SAP modules such as Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), and Asset Accounting (AA) to maintain data consistency.
• Develop and generate reports on the lease portfolio, including lease commitments, expenses, and key metrics.
• Maintain the integrity of lease-related master data within the SAP system.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Contract and Lease Management (CLM) and/or SAP Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX).
• In-depth knowledge of lease accounting standards IFRS 16 and ASC 842.
• Strong understanding of integration points between SAP Lease Management and SAP FICO modules.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into SAP solutions.
• Typically 3-5 years of experience in SAP FICO with a focus on RE-FX or CLM.
• Experience with at least one full-cycle SAP implementation is highly desirable.
