Seasonal Tax Reviewer

Overview

A professional services firm is seeking seasonal Tax Reviewers and Preparers to support offices nationwide during the upcoming peak busy season. This temporary role offers flexible hours during select times of the year and the opportunity to maintain and sharpen tax and accounting skills.

Responsibilities

• Review individual and entity tax returns
• Interface with client personnel to review and apply accounting and tax principles
• Contact clients by phone or email to gather necessary information
• Review files to ensure necessary signatures, supporting documentation, and compliance with filing due dates
• Obtain proper filing extensions when necessary
• Perform detailed review of tax returns, research, and compliance work focusing on calculations, accounting theory, and tax law compliance based on experience
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting preferred
• CPA or EA certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of tax return review experience across all return types
• Prior experience with a public accounting or professional services firm
