Senior Accountant

Overview

This full-time position is based in Apopka, Florida (postal code 32712) with the address at 5050 Wesley Rd. The role will transition to remote work after 90 days, but candidates must be local to the Central Florida area.

Responsibilities

• Provide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to pharmacy leadership, internal finance/accounting teams, and department directors.
• Conduct research, collect data, and organize and present financial analysis to management in written or oral formats.
• Exercise objective, independent judgment in developing financial recommendations for management.
• Serve as a liaison to department directors on financial matters.
• Develop and train staff in analyzing and organizing information into coherent reports.
• Recommend and implement solutions based on financial analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy and validity from various systems.
• Perform data analysis using statistical techniques.
• Assist in preparing and delivering decision support reports to internal and external customers.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve customer service, increase capacity, and improve throughput.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience (3+ years preferred).
• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Initiative to solve issues independently.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend conversational English.
• Ability to work well independently on assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of the healthcare finance environment.

• Salary range: $49,718.59 - $92,468.74 annually.
