Senior Accountant

Overview

This opportunity is for an AI-forward accounting team member reporting to the Controller. The role involves owning a large portion of accounting functions with a focus on AI enablement. The team is all-remote and currently distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations during monthly close
• Record transactions in Rillet
• Manage Ramp for AP, corporate cards, and employee reimbursements
• Manage revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Use AI to improve processes, gain efficiency, and analyze data
• Document processes for key accounting functions
• Bill customers and manage subscriptions in the billing system (Maxio)
• Assist with customer collections
• Respond to information requests and assist with audits, as needed
• Assist with other projects, as needed

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• SaaS industry experience (must have), ideally at a high growth startup (a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas)
• Proven track record of using AI in daily work
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and organized
• Able to meet processing and reporting deadlines
• Strong priority management skills
• Experience working in a Subscription Billing Software

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of CRM software platforms (Salesforce & DealHub) (a plus)
