Senior Accountant - OAS

Overview

A growing professional services firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) group. This remote role offers the opportunity to manage your own book of business and build strong client relationships. The position provides a path for career advancement within a fast-paced and expanding environment serving clients across all 50 states.

Responsibilities

• Perform recurring daily and weekly transactional support for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card import, and consultant invoice management
• Manage the full accounting cycle from data entry through financial statement compilation
• Provide month-end closing services such as bank and credit card reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, loan accounting, and related tasks
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Assist clients throughout the complete project cycle, including project entry, billing, and project-related reporting
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by researching and analyzing accounting data
• Identify root causes of issues and propose solutions for clients and the accounting services team
• Participate in onboarding new clients to the accounting services group
• Suggest process improvements to enhance client service and firm profitability
• Maintain a professional demeanor in all client interactions

Leadership

• Provide guidance and support to teammates, answering questions and helping the team succeed
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to complete tasks efficiently
• Manage client projects with minimal oversight

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in full cycle accounting at or above a staff accountant level
• Proficiency with Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint billing systems
• Experience working in an Architecture, Engineering, or Construction firm preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a full cycle accountant at an Architecture or Engineering firm using Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint ERP

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $75,000 - $85,000, with final offer based on skills, experience, certifications, and location
