Senior Accountant

Overview

A growing firm in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space is seeking Senior Accountants to support top-tier clients. This role involves working collaboratively to provide accounting and operational support while expanding technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate issues and escalations to the Accounting Manager or Controller as needed
• Independently process invoices, expense reports, basic payroll and benefits, intercompany transactions, financial reporting, and reconciliations
• Set up recurring training sessions and follow up with Staff Accountants
• Provide process documentation and technical support
• Review all Staff Accountant work
• Conduct team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to support Staff Accountants
• Serve as the first point of contact for Staff Accountants, answering questions, running trainings, facilitating client interaction, and providing technical training
• Review new vendor setups
• Final review and approval of expense reports, including intercompany expenses
• Accurately code and reconcile all banking transactions in accordance with US GAAP
• Perform other responsibilities as required by the team

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in an accounting role; experience with accounts payable and payroll preferred
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as Xero or QuickBooks
• Comfortable using software including G Suite, Microsoft Office, Box, and Slack
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
• Detail-oriented, service-focused, and strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $62,000 - $81,000, based on market data and candidate experience
