Senior Accountant / remote

Overview

A growing and well-established company in the energy sector is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, identify issues, and proactively implement solutions within a stable and expanding organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Support external audits and compliance requirements
• Manage fixed assets, accruals, and other accounting functions as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting with the ability to operate independently
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 per year
