Senior Accountant (Remote)

Overview

An experienced Senior Accountant is sought to lead financial processes within a remote team. The role emphasizes accuracy and efficiency in financial operations, including managing month-end close activities, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, overseeing multi-entity consolidations, and maintaining fixed asset schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Oversee multi-entity financial consolidations
• Maintain fixed asset schedules
• Support external audit activities
• Analyze financial data in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the payments industry
• Proven expertise in month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills with leadership qualities and proactive problem-solving abilities
