Overview
A fast-growing organization providing outsourced accounting services to small and mid-sized businesses is seeking a Senior Accountant. The role involves supporting multiple clients in a dynamic, client-facing accounting environment. This fully remote position offers strong growth potential as the organization continues to scale.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients (ideally 5+ sets of books)
- Perform month-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Conduct account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Communicate directly with business owners to provide updates and financial insights
- Maintain strong documentation and audit-ready financial records
- Support and mentor junior accounting staff as needed
- Contribute to process improvements and scalable accounting practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong month-end close experience
- Experience in multi-entity or client-based accounting environments
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online; daily use required
- Strong reconciliation and variance analysis skills
- High level of documentation discipline
- Experience mentoring or reviewing junior accounting staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Client Accounting Services (CAS), bookkeeping firms, or outsourced accounting environments
- Experience managing multiple clients or sets of books simultaneously
- Background supporting small to mid-sized businesses
