Overview
A global provider of reporting, analytics, and performance management solutions is seeking a Senior Consultant for Equity Administration & Financial Reconciliation. This role is part of the Professional Services organization and focuses on ensuring accurate reconciliation of financial reporting data related to equity compensation as customers transition from legacy equity management platforms to a NextGen platform.
Responsibilities
Financial Reconciliation
- Reconcile equity compensation financial reporting results between prior customer data and the NextGen platform, including ASC 718 stock compensation expense, corporate and deferred tax, disclosures, and ASC 260 diluted EPS.
- Develop and deliver comparison reports for each reconciliation cycle, providing summary and detailed analysis of differences.
- Analyze reports to identify calculation differences, determine root causes, and recommend resolutions.
- Provide clear reconciliation documentation to help customers understand any differences between NextGen calculations and previous methods.
- Apply knowledge of fair values, accounting setup selections, and migrated data to explain and resolve differences.
Administrative Reconciliation
- Reconcile participant- and grant-level equity data such as grants, vesting schedules, exercises, releases, cancellations, forfeitures, and outstanding/exercisable balances between legacy and NextGen platforms.
- Validate share balances and grant lifecycle events to confirm accurate transaction history migration.
- Reconcile ESPP enrollment, contribution, and purchase data, ensuring participant demographic, tax, and account information transferred correctly.
- Identify, quantify, and document administrative discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and drive resolution.
- Produce administrative reconciliation comparison reports and maintain follow-up trackers until closure.
- Collaborate with financial reconciliation workstream to ensure administrative data aligns with expense, tax, disclosure, and EPS results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Systems Thinking
- Understand workflows of adjacent teams including data loading, product development, and reconciliation workstreams.
- Anticipate impacts of data loading, system configuration, and platform changes on reconciliation results.
- Validate migrated data against expected results, surface discrepancies, and confirm fixes.
- Document mapping logic, exceptions, and resolution steps to maintain an auditable trail.
Client Engagement & Leadership
- Serve as a senior point of contact for customer stakeholders on assigned equity and reconciliation workstreams.
- Ensure deliverables meet SLAs and quality standards; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams to unblock and align work.
- Lead customer conversations and follow up with clear, actionable plans.
- Mentor and support junior team members, promoting accuracy and accountability.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum five years in financial accounting with a focus on equity compensation management and reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 718 expense reporting, ASC 260 diluted EPS, corporate tax, and disclosure concepts.
- Experience with administrative/participant-level equity reconciliation and equity-related disclosures and year-end tax reporting (e.g., W-2 inserts, Forms 3921 and 3922).
- Experience with equity management systems is desirable.
- Experience with data migration, mapping, and validation across financial and equity administration systems.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
- Comfortable querying databases (SQL), generating and analyzing reports, working with large data sets, and using automation tools.
- Familiarity with equity management platforms and financial accounting systems.

Additional Information

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range in the United States: $88,000 to $111,000 annually.
- Specific offer within this range depends on skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Non-sales roles may be eligible for a bonus; sales roles include commission targets.
