Senior Corporate Accountant

Overview

A growing mineral exploration and technology company is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities across various jurisdictions. This role involves statutory reporting, monthly and quarterly close processes, compliance with local accounting standards, and supporting field exploration teams with project and budget reporting. The position offers opportunities to expand responsibilities and contribute to building scalable accounting processes in a fast-growing startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting including general ledger, month-end close, and account reconciliations for multiple entities across multiple jurisdictions
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and support statutory reporting requirements
• Drive monthly and quarterly close processes and prepare financial reports for assigned entities
• Collaborate with field exploration teams to support project accounting and reporting needs
• Process invoices through accounts payable workflows and oversee vendor compliance
• Support compliance with annual statutory reporting, indirect tax filings, and other regulatory requirements across multiple countries
• Coordinate documentation and information flow for statutory and other audits
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate workflows and improve accounting process efficiency
• Participate in ad hoc projects related to accounting and operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Experience working with international operations
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar accounting software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and solve problems independently
• Interest in mineral exploration and working closely with exploration project teams
• High degree of independence and ability to work with limited supervision
• Flexibility to accommodate meetings with staff and vendors in different time zones
• Willingness to contribute broadly to organizational success and assist where needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction accounting in the exploration or mining industry
• Experience implementing new accounting systems

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-time exempt position
• US base salary range: $90,000 - $110,000
