Overview

This role involves leading strategic planning and analysis to shape how the finance organization develops and communicates multi-year financial strategy. The position owns Long-Range Planning (LRP), drives scenario planning and analytics, and helps reimagine planning, forecasting, and analysis with AI—while partnering closely with executives and cross-functional leaders.

The role reports to the SVP, Strategic Business Finance, and is an individual contributor position with the opportunity to build a team as scope grows.

Responsibilities

Long-Range and Strategic Planning

  • Own the LRP, including its framework, assumptions, financial model, and regular refreshes in partnership with the executive team.
  • Translate corporate strategy into financial and operational targets, investment priorities, and multi-year scenarios supporting profitable growth.
  • Partner with Go-To-Market and Corporate FP&A leaders to create an ARR-based model used as a key input into both the LRP and the annual operating plan, including new bookings and churn by solution and Geo, with units and ASP; use this as a common framework to drive alignment with Product, Sales, and Finance.
  • Lead scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic trade-offs, capital allocation, and risk.
  • Design and run the LRP process in coordination with Corporate FP&A so the LRP ties directly to the annual operating plan and near-term outlook.

AI-Powered Planning and Analytics

  • Reimagine how finance plans, forecasts, and analyzes with AI, spanning scenario generation and variance explanation through automated insight and narrative.
  • Build and deploy AI-enabled models and workflows—including on the Workiva platform—that increase speed, accuracy, and depth of planning while meeting public company rigor and auditability requirements.
  • Evaluate and adopt new AI tools and techniques with Finance Systems, IT, and Data teams, and set the standard for responsible AI use in finance.
  • Build scalable models, data structures, and self-service reporting to improve analytic quality and speed.
  • Enable finance and business partners to apply AI in everyday planning and analysis.

Business Partnership, Executive Messaging, and Communication

  • Partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, G&A, and Go-To-Market to align plans, investments, and outcomes with company strategy.
  • Deliver analysis for the full business, including top-line performance, profitability, unit economics, operating leverage, and investment returns.
  • Partner with Investor Relations to provide insights that help craft the financial narrative and messaging for investors, analysts, and the public, including earnings materials, investor presentations, and long-term targets.
  • Build the analysis, benchmarking, and market context behind the story and anticipate investor questions.
  • Convert ambiguous questions into focused, decision-ready recommendations with clear success metrics.
  • Prepare executive, Board, and investor-ready materials on strategic plans and financial outlook, working within disclosure controls and in coordination with Legal.
  • Establish standards for analytical rigor, clear communication, and cross-functional business partnership.

  • Advanced financial modeling and data analysis skills, including hands-on experience applying AI to planning, forecasting, or analytics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the executive presence to explain complex topics clearly to the CEO, Board, and investors.
  • Proficiency in modern AI models, SQL, BI tools, ERP, and planning platforms.
