Overview

A Senior Finance & Sales Commission Analyst position is available within the Enterprise North America FP&A team. This role involves managing sales compensation, financial reporting, and ensuring data integrity. The analyst will be responsible for delivering accurate reporting and analysis, administering sales commission calculations, resolving compensation disputes, and ensuring timely and precise payments to sales personnel.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Manage weekly reporting on pipeline and key metrics, translating data into actionable business insights.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages including client- and deal-level variance analysis to explain changes and forecast implications.
  • Contribute to annual budget preparation and weekly forecast submissions with accurate, audit-ready inputs.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects with attention to detail.

Sales Commission Operations

  • Administer monthly and quarterly sales incentive and commission calculations with precision.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for compensation disputes, discrepancies, and plan interpretation questions in collaboration with People Services Business Partners.
  • Prepare monthly commission accruals and ensure timely, accurate payouts across all sales compensation plans.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership and People Services/Total Rewards to support annual compensation plan design through data-driven modeling and scenario analysis.

Data Integrity & Root Cause Analysis

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data issues originating in Salesforce affecting compensation calculations and financial reporting.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to establish data ownership, quality controls, and issue resolution workflows.
  • Maintain documentation mapping data flows from Salesforce through reporting platforms to compensation outputs for transparency and audit readiness.
  • Differentiate between reporting errors and source data errors, communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Process Improvement

  • Serve as a trusted partner to People Services/Total Rewards, Payroll, Revenue Operations, Accounting, and Sales leadership.
  • Educate stakeholders on interpreting compensation and financial reporting and establish escalation paths for data and plan-related issues.
  • Support strategic business decisions with timely, accurate financial analysis.
  • Identify and drive improvements in compensation processes, financial systems, and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or data analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with sales commission administration.
  • CPA certification or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Salesforce, including understanding of data propagation to reports and compensation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, model building).
  • Experience with DOMO or comparable BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience administering, auditing, or reconciling commission calculations in multi-plan, multi-tier sales compensation environments.
  • Solid accounting fundamentals including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and close processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into clear narratives for technical and executive audiences.
  • High accuracy, accountability, and composure under month-end and quarter-end deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, D365, or comparable ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Revenue Operations methodology and go-to-market data flows.
  • Experience with Incentive Compensation Management platforms such as Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Spiff, or Varicent.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements in compensation administration, financial reporting, or systems workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $104,000 to $147,000 annually (actual offer may vary based on education, experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity).
