Senior Finance Specialist - General Accounting

Overview

This role delivers financial services supporting accounts payable/receivable and period close activities. Responsibilities include managing payments to IFM suppliers, calculating monthly expense and revenue accruals, coordinating client billings, and ensuring work is completed accurately and in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver financial services, including:
  • Manage payments to IFM suppliers
  • Calculate monthly expense accrual and revenue accrual
  • Support period close activities
  • Coordinate client billings with the account team in a timely and accurate manner
  • Enforce compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Review billing templates provided by site teams, including supporting documents such as:
  • Contract terms
  • T&E report
  • Reimbursable expense tracker
  • Open AR analysis
  • Follow up as needed
• Manage bank balance and review open AP; maintain and review payment schedules
• Assist in reviewing open PO reports (JDE Vendors)
• Identify and educate teams on common errors; build knowledge within operational teams
• Support site teams with process flow, including the corrective action steps when errors arise, with an objective to build a self-help culture
• Work with site teams and client finance to calculate monthly accruals
• Assist with variance reporting compilation for APAC, and collaborate with the core team to streamline reports and processes
• Assist the core team with forecast and budgeting processes, with an objective to streamline reports and processes
• Review month-end checklists
• Provide additional ad-hoc support as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting
• Good command of spoken and written English
• AP/AR/GL and financial analysis experience in finance across APAC will be a plus
• Ability to own responsibilities and processes
• Excel-based reporting will be advantageous
