Overview

This role leads core financial processes and drives modernization across finance systems, automation, and end-to-end workflows. The position also bridges finance and technology to deliver faster, more accurate finance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own core central financial processes with accuracy and speed.
  • Lead the finance systems roadmap by evaluating, implementing, and optimizing the finance systems stack (ERP, planning, reporting, consolidation, automation tools) to ensure best-in-class tooling.
  • Drive AI transformation by identifying where AI can replace manual work across month-end close, consolidation, accounting, and reconciliation; lead implementation of these solutions.
  • Bridge finance and technology by partnering with engineering/data teams to build and deploy tools that make finance faster and more accurate.
  • Improve processes end-to-end, from data capture to reporting; from AP/AR to close; from planning to insight.
  • Set standards by building governance, controls, and documentation to keep a fast-moving finance function reliable.
  • Act as a change agent by championing adoption across the team and translating between technology and finance.

Requirements

Must-haves

  • 8+ years in finance, including senior/manager level, with a strong track record running core finance operations (close, reporting, forecasting, controls).
  • Deep hands-on experience with finance systems, including implementation or operation of ERPs, planning/reporting platforms, consolidation tools, or automation (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or modern fintech stacks). Demonstrated ability to drive a tooling roadmap.
  • Real AI/automation transformation experience: led or was central to projects that replaced manual finance work with AI, ML, or automation (e.g., automated reporting, smart reconciliation, predictive forecasting), with concrete results.
  • Process and controls excellence, including familiarity with SOX-adjacent practices, intercompany processes, and close management, with the ability to build these into a modern, automated environment.
  • Bridging skills: comfortable working with engineers and data teams; able to translate between finance and technology.
  • Strong communication skills, able to influence C-suite stakeholders and drive adoption of change across the team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in crypto/fintech or high-growth environments.
  • Experience with AI-native finance tools (e.g., AI agents, copilots for finance, ML-based planning).
  • Experience building or scaling a finance function in a fast-moving company.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and company benefits.

Location

  • Remote-first, work-from-home arrangement (may vary depending on the nature of the role and team).
