Overview
This role involves managing the end-to-end financial operations for international entities located in the UK and Canada. The position balances hands-on accounting tasks with strategic financial analysis and business partnership to support global growth. It is a full-time, remote opportunity open to applicants based in the US or Canada.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete accounting cycle for international entities.
- Lead the period-end close process for UK and Canadian entities, ensuring accurate reporting within a 3-day close window.
- Prepare and post manual journal entries and transactional processing in compliance with US GAAP and local statutory standards.
- Manage international tax and statutory compliance, including VAT and GST/HST filings in coordination with the senior tax manager.
- Maintain balance sheet integrity through detailed account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
- Serve as the primary finance business partner for international teams, providing detailed P&L commentary and budget variance analysis.
- Manage financial data integrity within Financial Reporting and OneStream systems, including maintenance of international calendars.
- Identify and implement process improvements to automate manual international workflows.
- Lead audit readiness efforts for international entities and act as the main liaison for internal and external auditors.
- Audit payroll reports, prepare monthly payroll reports, and record payroll journal entries for UK and Canadian payroll.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in international or multi-entity environments.
- Proven expertise in full cycle accounting from daily transactions through to final financial statement preparation.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with familiarity of UK and Canadian accounting and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ability to manage complex manual data sets independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- High proficiency with ERP systems, especially Oracle Cloud and OneStream.
- Experience delivering cross-functional financial insights and variance analysis to influence international business strategy.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range for US-based applicants: $81,606 - $105,000 annually.
- Pay range for Canada-based applicants: CAD 79,292 - CAD 99,115 annually.
