Overview
This role supports two key areas: core acquisition and the Education business. Responsibilities focus on owning and maintaining financial and operational models, validating data via SQL/Redshift, and using AI coding tools to automate recurring reporting and model refresh workflows.
Responsibilities
- Support two different parts of the business at once: the core acquisition motion and the Education business.
- Own underlying models for core acquisition, including:
- headcount planning
- rep productivity
- rep compensation
- acquisition forecasting
- Own underlying models for Education, including:
- order volume
- physical product cost and inventory
- margin per unit
- ARR
- Keep models clean, current, and well-structured (model hygiene is an ongoing responsibility).
- Partner with analytics to build foundational datasets, definitions, and context layers that enable automated, repeatable analysis.
- Build automated workflows using AI coding tools to automate model refreshes, data pulls, and recurring analysis.
- Independently pull and validate required data using SQL and Redshift, leveraging AI tools and the established context layer; escalate more complex or detailed requests to Analytics when needed.
- Build and maintain self-serve dashboards for both business areas to reduce manual recurring reporting.
- Proactively flag data quality issues, methodology gaps, or reporting inconsistencies before they create downstream problems.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, or a similar field.
- Ability to read, dissect, and diagnose SQL queries (including queries an AI tool wrote). Must be able to determine whether a query answered the question correctly. This is a must-have.
- Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, or similar) as a primary approach for solving problems—building, automating, and iterating routinely rather than relying only on a chat interface.
- Strong Excel and Sheets skills, with the ability to structure financial models correctly and validate outputs.
- Experience owning recurring financial or operational reports end-to-end, including improving underlying logic rather than only updating templates.
- Ability to keep models or datasets clean and current over time with reusable definitions and structure.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where questions may change before prior answers are finalized.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration outside of finance teams, with proactive communication habits.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Range: $106.5K - $142K
Location
- Distributed team with remote employees across every US time zone, and select offices in the US and internationally.
