Senior Financial Analyst I

Overview

This remote role in the organization’s Finance Division involves providing Financial and/or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) data, metrics, and standard and ad hoc reporting to support strategic and operational needs. The position includes decision support for executive leadership and may also involve general ledger reconciliations, expense analysis, and chargemaster maintenance.

Work Schedule: Remote, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Candidate Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in Cleveland, Ohio to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide Financial and/or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) data, metrics, and standard/ad hoc reporting to support organizational needs
• Prepare, analyze, and communicate key financial information
• Support management and other staff with financial reporting and related issues
• Assist with budget preparation, budget review for compliance, and financial planning processes
• Retrieve and manipulate complex information using database tools, such as SAS and Teradata
• Consult with all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies, and procedures
• Perform special projects and duties related to research, forecasting, and conflict resolution
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field and four years of financial or revenue cycle management or general analytical experience
  • OR Master’s degree and three years of experience
  • OR Finance Fellow experience and three years of experience
• Ability to complete sophisticated analytical, consultative, and information support through analysis and report preparation
• Ability to lead projects and people
• Strong understanding of key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis, and proposal development

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Account (CMA) certification
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Revenue and finance experience
• Experience in hospital systems and revenue cycle exposure
• Technical skills such as Oracle, Excel, Microsoft Office, Snowflake, and EPIC
• Revenue Cycle management experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
• Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment
• In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system
• In some locations, ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range (Minimum Annual Salary to Maximum Annual Salary): $57,510.00 – $87,697.50

The pay range shown reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Final compensation is determined based on factors including work history, experience, skill set, and education. The pay range does not include applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime) and does not include the value of the organization’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions).
