The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic financial partner to business leaders, delivering insights that clarify financial performance and support informed decision-making. The position blends financial planning and analysis with AI-driven automation to streamline recurring reporting and increase capacity for deeper analysis, strategic recommendations, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations during operating reviews.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts.
  • Leverage AI and automation to streamline recurring financial reporting and identify emerging trends.
  • Analyze variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year results to identify key business drivers.
  • Recommend corrective actions and growth opportunities based on financial and operational analysis.
  • Interpret subscription-based business metrics and explain their financial and operational impact.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling to address emerging business questions.
  • Prepare and present financial analyses and deliverables with clear, actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; 9+ years preferred.
  • Experience working in SaaS or technology organizations.
  • Expertise evaluating business spend with an ROI-focused approach, including areas such as IT financial management, FinOps, marketing measurement, or unit economics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar financial planning or ERP systems.
  • Experience with AI tools such as Claude, business intelligence platforms such as Domo, AI agents, and SQL preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, GAAP principles, and the relationship between financial results and operational drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to adopt an AI-first approach while exercising sound professional judgment.
  • Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.
  • Must meet applicable age and pre-employment screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with AI tools (including Claude), business intelligence platforms (including Domo), AI agents, and SQL.
