Overview

This role is for a senior analyst to serve as an embedded finance partner, owning a functional area end to end. You will be the finance resource a business leader consults first—understanding the operating model, building and owning models that drive headcount and spend decisions, and running a recurring monthly business review rhythm.

You will be assigned to an area based on strengths and where the business needs the most support (support, G&A, or go-to-market). Prior experience in a specific function is not required; success depends on the ability to learn how a business works and turn that understanding into analysis leaders can act on.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operating and capacity model for your area, including how headcount and spend scale with business drivers.
  • Manage forecast, budget, and long-range planning for assigned functions, including the narrative explaining variances.
  • Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders: what happened, why, and implications for the rest of the year.
  • Conduct vendor and operating expense reviews, identifying where leverage exists and where it does not.
  • Provide decision support as questions arise between planning cycles (business cases, scenario work, and other analyses needed by leaders).
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Roughly 2 to 5 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, or a comparable analytical role (years are flexible if the relevant substance is demonstrated).
  • Strong financial modeling skills and analytical judgment to identify when an answer is wrong.
  • Communication skills and confidence to work directly with functional leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous inputs and drive ownership without close management.
  • Interest in automating repeatable parts of the job; familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems is a plus (the employer will help build capabilities if the instinct is present but tools are not yet used).
  • Meaningful overlap with Pacific time (West Coast team).
  • Open to occasional travel for team and company onsite visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across functional finance areas such as go-to-market finance, corporate finance, or functional business partnering is a plus (though prior function-specific experience is not required).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay depends on job-related factors including location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO.
  • For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington: base salary hiring range is $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus an equity grant.
  • For roles based in New York: base salary hiring range is $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus an equity grant.
