Overview

This position offers a compensation range of $82,747 to $108,877 annually. It is available for remote work within Alaska, Oregon, Washington, or Colorado. Applicants must be located within these states as international remote work or routine work visa sponsorship is not supported.

Position Summary

The role involves translating raw data into actionable information critical for strategic development, execution, and problem resolution. Responsibilities include gathering data from multiple internal and external sources, developing financial models and spreadsheets, performing analyses, writing reports, and preparing presentations to support financial planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex projects with broad scope and significant organizational impact, delivering analyses that inform strategy and problem-solving.
  • Collect and analyze actual financial performance data against budgets, prepare periodic reports for executive management.
  • Participate in the analysis and maintenance of financial systems, assist with system upgrades and transitions to modern business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models supporting operating and capital budget processes, including P&L, long-term forecasts, cash flow, and balance sheet modeling.
  • Compile and compare data submitted by managers to budget targets, identify variances, and assist in developing value-added KPIs.
  • Serve as a resource for internal stakeholders by researching and responding to capital and operating budget inquiries.
  • Conduct complex financial analyses for special projects including pre-acquisition evaluations, acquisitions, business cases, and refinancing.
  • Assist in developing short- and long-term IT plans and forecasts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Accountability: Plan, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks to deliver budgets and analyses within financial deadlines. Provide ad-hoc analyses to support management initiatives.
  • Technical Aptitude: Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and use complex systems and applications including SQL, business intelligence tools, and data mining techniques.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent education, experience, and training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience: Minimum of four years of progressively responsible professional financial analysis experience. Equivalent education and training may substitute for experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel and mid-expert proficiency in BI tools and visualization techniques are required. Experience with SQL and data mining is preferred.
