Overview

A growing behavioral healthcare organization is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to manage the financial performance of a portfolio of clinics. This role involves partnering with clinic owners and internal teams to drive forecasting, reporting, gross margin optimization, and payments processes. The position offers high ownership and impact, with a focus on leveraging AI tools to automate and scale financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance contact for forecasting and performance questions across assigned clinics.
  • Build and maintain clinic-level financial projections; prepare monthly reports with variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Identify key drivers of utilization, revenue, and costs; surface trends and risks to inform decision-making.
  • Manage recurring practice-owner payment calculations and payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile owner payments with clinic P&L and revenue data; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Document and standardize payment methodologies to support scaling.
  • Analyze gross margin and cost of goods sold (COGS) at clinic and service-line levels to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Quantify margin impact of proposed changes and track realized improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with Practice Success Managers and clinic owners to jointly own clinic financial outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor, explaining concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Develop and drive actionable improvement plans from problem identification through execution and measurable results.
  • Utilize AI coding agents and software development practices (GitHub, pull requests, merges) to build and automate financial models and reports.
  • Continuously improve finance processes to increase scalability and insight quality.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets; strong understanding of the three financial statements and their interconnections.
  • Basic working knowledge of AI coding agents, GitHub, Python, and software development fundamentals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • High agency and proactivity; able to operate independently and solve problems without prompting.
  • Competitive mindset with relentless follow-through to achieve measurable results.
  • Strong ownership mentality; detail-oriented and comfortable managing end-to-end deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multi-site or multi-unit P&Ls (healthcare, veterinary, dental, retail, hospitality, franchise).
  • Background in healthcare, behavioral health (ABA), or management services organizations (MSO/DSO).
  • Experience working with franchise or partner/owner-facing financial roles.
  • Proven track record of building business cases and driving margin or COGS improvements.
  • Proficiency in AI coding agents with engineering practices such as coding, pull requests, and deployment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, databases, Python, GitHub, and software development.
