Overview
This role involves performing month-end close procedures, analyzing financial statements at the facility level, and providing insightful analysis related to financial results. The position requires proactive communication with facility and field stakeholders regarding monthly financial outcomes, particularly focusing on unusual variances and trends, and collaborating on resolving identified issues.
The role includes maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and reliability, preparing general ledger account reconciliations, and working with key stakeholders to resolve outstanding items. Additional responsibilities include preparing partnership distributions, training and mentoring market accountants, reviewing their work, and providing effective feedback.
Strong leadership skills are expected, demonstrated through coaching, critical self-review, motivation, self-confidence, and self-discipline. The position also involves assisting and driving team and company initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close procedures, including preparing and recording manual journal entries
- Analyze facility-level financial statements and provide insightful analysis of financial results
- Communicate proactively with facility and field stakeholders about monthly financial results, focusing on unusual variances and trends
- Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts for accuracy and reliability
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve outstanding items
- Prepare partnership distributions
- Train and mentor market accountants and experienced accountants to support their development
- Review work products of market accountants and provide constructive feedback
- Use independent judgment and analytical skills to resolve field and home-office inquiries
- Assist and lead team and company initiatives
- Exhibit leadership through coaching, self-review, motivation, confidence, and discipline
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and statistical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD $86,453.00 to USD $95,862.00 per year
