Overview
This role sits within the organization’s Business Technology (Biztech) group, specifically the Finance Accounting Platform team. The team owns the core finance accounting platform that records, processes, and reports the financial lifecycle for the organization’s products.
As a Senior Platform Manager, you will help shape how the finance accounting platform evolves to support a growing portfolio of product offerings. The position is cross-functional and partners daily with Product and Platform Managers across Payments, Trust, Guest & Host, Pricing, Insurance, Hotels, and Customer Service, as well as Finance stakeholders from Revenue Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Payments Legal, Consolidation, Collections, and Cash. You will also work closely with Data Engineering and Oracle Applications teams, along with FP&A and Business Unit teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the finance accounting platform’s strategy and operations, serving as the single point of accountability for how the platform evolves
- Define and drive the long-term roadmap for the finance accounting platform to scale for new product lines, geographies, and business models
- Prioritize work across a high-volume platform funnel, balancing competing requests with structured decision-making
- Identify opportunities to optimize platform performance and reliability
- Lead end-to-end accounting workflow delivery for new or evolving products, from accounting impact assessment through solution design, engineering alignment, UAT, release coordination, and production normalization
- Translate complex product changes into accounting workflows that record product lifecycle financials to Oracle FAH GL
- Help define and refine data pipeline monitoring controls
- Support month-end close processes and partner with Finance stakeholders to automate manual operational workflows
- Improve the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of financial data used across the Finance organization and beyond
Typical Day
- Sync with a Product Manager to understand upcoming product changes and assess downstream accounting implications
- Review technical specifications with Data Engineering to align on implementation approaches for new accounting workflows
- Run UAT sessions with Revenue Controllership and Tax stakeholders to validate accurate financial lifecycle recording before production
- Pull and analyze ad hoc data using SQL to support close questions and business cases
- Triaging and prioritizing new requests entering the platform funnel, aligning stakeholders on sequencing and tradeoffs
- Review data pipeline monitoring alerts and work with engineering to resolve control gaps that could affect month-end close
- Lead working sessions with Treasury or Collections to map automation opportunities for high-touch manual processes
- Draft platform updates for senior Finance stakeholders, translating technical changes into business impact
Requirements
Accounting & Finance Domain
- Subject matter expert in accounting principles and ASC 606 revenue recognition, able to apply standards to complex, multi-product digital marketplace environments
- Proven experience implementing end-to-end accounting workflows across quote-to-cash cycles, including reporting and reconciliation
- Hands-on experience supporting B2C product workflows on finance platforms (ideally in a high-growth, high-transaction-volume technology company)
Technical Depth
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets, including writing performant queries against partitioned tables, aggregating high-cardinality transactional data, and troubleshooting data anomalies at scale
- Deep understanding of big data principles, including distributed data processing, batch vs. streaming pipelines, data partitioning strategies, data lake vs. data warehouse architectures, and tradeoffs between latency, throughput, and consistency at high volume
- Strong grasp of transactional data characteristics, including event-driven data structures (bookings, cancellations, payments, refunds, adjustments), ACID properties, immutability of financial records, audit trail and lineage requirements, multi-currency and multi-entity data handling, and period-end cutoff logic
- Familiarity with subledger to General Ledger data flows, including how product-level financial events become journal entries and how to validate accuracy across that chain
- Experience working with or alongside Oracle FAH, General Ledger, or equivalent ERP platforms
- Ability to engage with technical design documents and align with engineering teams on implementation specifications
- Familiarity with data pipeline architecture and monitoring controls, including SLA management, data quality checks, alerting frameworks, and reconciliation workflows ensuring financial data integrity across the close cycle
- Uses AI tools and technologies to accelerate productivity, improve analytical workflows, and automate repetitive processes
Platform & Product Management
- 6+ years of experience in platform management, product management, or technical program management with a strong finance and accounting data focus
- Demonstrated ability to own and manage a complex, multi-stakeholder platform roadmap with a high volume of competing priorities
- Proven track record of driving end-to-end delivery from design and engineering through testing, release, and production normalization in cross-functional environments
- Experience operating in Agile and continuous delivery models, moving at pace without sacrificing rigor or quality
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to modulate depth and style for different audiences (engineering spec reviews through Finance leadership briefings)
- Strong influencing skills and high EQ; able to drive alignment across diverse, senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Detail-oriented and highly analytical; comfortable structuring ambiguous problems and driving to clear outcomes
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and modern collaboration tools
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related technical field

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $179,000—$207,000 USD
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
- Actual base pay depends on factors including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands; base pay range is subject to change.
Location
- This position is US - Remote Eligible.
- The role may include occasional work at an office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.
