Overview

The Senior Revenue Manager consults hotels in managing room inventory and pricing for assigned hotels to increase revenue. This role uses revenue management, ecommerce, sales, marketing, and distribution expertise to develop and implement effective room-selling strategies based on market demand and competition. The position supports both strategic and tactical decision-making, including influencing key decision makers. It manages a larger and more complex portfolio and helps develop and improve the revenue management program.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize guest room inventory and pricing strategies for assigned hotels, driving RevPAR growth through:
    • Demand analysis
    • Dynamic selling strategies
    • Length of stay optimization
    • Strong channel parity
  • Partner with hotel teams to deliver actionable insights via daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reporting, staying ahead of demand drivers such as groups, conventions, and citywide events
  • Lead Revenue Strategy Meetings, translating performance data, market trends, and competitive intelligence into clear recommendations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between hotels and enterprise teams, leveraging advanced enterprise systems, Salesforce, and Lanyon to align strategies with brand goals and unlock marketing and promotional opportunities
  • Contribute to special projects and enterprise-wide revenue management initiatives through cross-functional collaboration to shape and elevate revenue strategy

Requirements

Employment Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Revenue Manager, or Business or Consulting experience focused on financial analysis or revenue analytics

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of Revenue Management principles and philosophies, tools, and reports, including industry standard metrics
  • Experience with multi-property revenue management (a plus)
  • Experience with Extended Stay revenue management (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Choice internet sites, Property Management Systems, Choice distribution platforms and strategies, and GDS systems (GDS systems a plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with demonstrated high proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data, extract actionable insights, and convert them into revenue opportunities

  • Ability to articulate revenue strategies and deployment to achieve strategies; presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well-organized way

  • Ability to influence decision makers at all levels by presenting analysis and information to drive action
  • Ability to make measurable progress on multiple high priorities while handling day-to-day operations

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Revenue Management Certification (CHRM or CRME) is required for all revenue management team members; candidates not already certified must become certified within the first year of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-property revenue management
  • Experience with Extended Stay revenue management
  • Knowledge of Choice internet sites, Property Management Systems, Choice distribution platforms and strategies, and GDS systems

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $86,886 - $102,219
  • Eligible for the Revenue Management Incentive Plan in addition to annual salary
