Senior Revenue Recognition Accountant

Overview

The organization is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join the Revenue Accounting team in a fully remote capacity. This role supports day-to-day revenue operations and helps maintain revenue accounting processes, with opportunities to build technical revenue recognition skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the close: Assist with the revenue-related month-end close process to help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Contract analysis: Review customer contracts and non-standard terms to support proper revenue recognition in line with company policies.
• Revenue schedules: Prepare and reconcile revenue schedules, including deferred revenue and contract assets/liabilities, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Process support: Support continuous improvement efforts within Order-to-Cash processes and assist with SOX audit compliance tasks.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects and provide reliable analysis and support.

Requirements

• Experience & education: 5+ years of relevant accounting experience; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree in Taxation preferred. CPA license is required.
• Accounting standards: Strong foundational understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 principles.
• Remote execution: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage task timelines effectively in a remote environment.
• Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience navigating SaaS or consumption-based revenue models.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Zuora, or Salesforce CPQ.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated base pay range (USD): $102,000—$128,000
• Bonus eligibility: This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan.
• Pay within the range may vary by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
