Overview
This role involves developing and updating the organization’s CPA and EA tax curriculum. The Senior Specialist will apply technical expertise and knowledge of the accounting profession to create best-in-class learning and continuing education for accounting professionals.
Responsibilities
- Write course content as needed.
- Review CPA course materials developed by subject matter experts (SMEs), including textbooks and lectures.
- Write and/or review CPA course questions, flashcards, and other course components.
- Provide guidance to the production team on images used in course materials.
- Train SMEs on the use of CPA course templates.
- Assist with maintaining CPA mapping to technical guidance.
- Support curriculum development for custom content projects.
- Monitor developments and trends in the accounting profession and plan timely updates to course materials.
- Manage development and timelines for course content produced by SMEs.
- Leverage instructional design principles to convey technical accounting concepts.
- Collaborate with and respond to inquiries from cross-functional teams.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business, finance and/or accounting required; master’s degree preferred.
- CPA required.
- 5–10 years of experience in the accounting and tax profession; content or technical development preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and resource management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
