Overview
A rapidly growing, venture-backed health technology company is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance to lead financial analysis and decision support for future growth and profitability initiatives. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance and involves building models, systems, and insights to enable clear, data-driven decision making. The position requires partnering closely with the FP&A team and senior leadership to integrate financial analysis into business operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the Long Range Plan, aligning capital allocation and growth assumptions with the company’s long-term vision.
- Build and maintain financial models to measure and improve unit economics across customers, segments, cohorts, and channels.
- Prepare executive-ready materials for monthly reviews and board discussions, distilling complex data into clear, actionable narratives.
- Lead support for future fundraising efforts and strategic projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on scenario modeling and business case development, linking financial discipline to operational outcomes.
- Define and track KPIs and leading indicators to drive operational improvements.
- Contribute to the development of forecasting tools and features for internal use and clients.
- Partner with go-to-market teams on pricing strategy and proposals.
- Establish systems, tools, and frameworks for the Strategic Finance team, including automation, reporting, and operational rhythms.
- Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure alignment between near-term budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, strategy & operations, FP&A, or related finance roles with operational experience in a fast-paced, scaling company.
- Experience with subscription business models, including understanding of ARR, revenue, retention, and unit economics.
- Proven ability to partner with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and R&D teams, influencing decisions through insights.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, capable of building models from scratch in a complex, high-growth environment.
- Strong ability to translate data and analysis into clear narratives for executives; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence, with sound judgment to challenge assumptions while maintaining strong relationships.
- High ownership, curiosity, and urgency; able to operate independently and navigate ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Healthcare or health technology experience is a plus.
