Overview
A rapidly growing accounting firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Manager to join their remote team. This role involves providing strategic tax planning and compliance expertise, managing tax audits, and developing tax-saving strategies for a diverse clientele, including high net worth individuals and corporations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services.
- Review and prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.
- Build and maintain client relationships while demonstrating knowledge of client businesses.
- Assist with client management and planning by coordinating and executing detailed technical services.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects; assess tax staff performance during engagement reviews.
- Collaborate with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into client service and new business development.
- Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects across various industries.
- Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise while managing projects within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or other relevant professional accreditation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or tax consulting.
- Proficiency with business tax returns, including 1120S, S Corp, high net worth, corporations, individual tax returns, tax review, and tax planning.
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities.

- Highly motivated self-starter capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with tax software such as ProSystem fx or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high net worth clients (average client net worth over $10 million).
- Background in small business tax services.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 per year
