Overview

This role owns the affiliate commission and contractual payments process end to end, ensuring affiliates are paid accurately and on time. You will serve as the primary point of contact for commission- and contract-related questions, handle payout issues and disputes, and build repeatable, documented workflows (including SOPs and exception policies) that the team can rely on over time.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full payment lifecycle from signed agreement through payout for commissions and contractual payments across the entire affiliate base
  • Act as the primary point of contact for affiliates regarding commission and endorsement contract matters
    • Conduct video calls, face calls, text messages, and emails to support affiliates
  • Build trust with affiliates by resolving questions and frustrations through audits, follow-ups, and process improvements
  • Partner with Affiliate Managers to verify deliverable completion ahead of each cycle
  • Provide final sign-off on payment accuracy by partnering with Revenue Operations on calculations and data extraction
  • Own payout disputes and related issues end to end, including clawbacks, refunds, chargebacks, duplicate accounts, and self-referrals; resolve directly with the affiliate
  • Apply affiliate program policies and agreement terms to payment decisions; collaborate with affiliate compliance teams when needed
  • Create documented, repeatable processes independent of any single person
    • Write SOPs, exception policy, and calculation methodology
    • Automate manual work over time
  • Work cross-functionally with Affiliate, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Legal to maintain a single source of truth and continuously improve the overall process

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in commissions, partner/affiliate payouts, revenue operations, billing, or finance operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Hands-on experience with payment or vendor management platforms such as RAMP, Bill.com, Tipalti, or similar
  • Strong bias-to-action and accountability, including experience running a commission cycle end to end
  • Genuine comfort in customer-facing conversations, including difficult discussions about money, delays, prorations, and clawbacks
  • Ability to explain complex finance situations in plain language to stakeholders who are not in finance
  • Strong analytical judgment: review commission reports, identify issues, trace to root cause, and drive resolution before payout cutoff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise instructions and documentation
  • High integrity with confidential financial information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Affiliate or partner program experience, particularly in SaaS
  • Familiarity with affiliate tracking platforms such as FirstPromoter
  • Exposure to FTC endorsement rules or partner program compliance
  • Experience supporting internal or external audit on a payment or commission cycle

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $72,000 - $86,000 annually
