Overview
The organization is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Finance Operations team. This role can be based in the Palo Alto, CA office or remotely within the US. The position supports a mix of government and commercial programs by partnering with Program Managers and CAMs to oversee baselines, Estimates at Completion (EACs), and risks/opportunities. Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting financial data to provide operational recommendations and communicate risk tied to the EAC, while contributing to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly financial cycles.
Responsibilities
- Partner with CAMs and Program Managers to oversee program baselines, EACs, and risks & opportunities
- Track weekly actuals incurred, analyze month-end variances, and prepare monthly Time & Material (T&M) billings
- Support AOP processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles
- Forecast milestone billings for enterprise cash planning
- Monitor Limitation of Funds on cost-type contracts
- Serve as a key financial business partner to CAMs and Program Managers
- Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis; support special projects and process improvements within Finance
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics; four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Experience developing program budgets and EACs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with government contracts
- Self-starter who takes initiative to provide recommendations and highlight issues
- Superior analytical skills with excellent business judgment and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management-level personnel
- Very strong skills with Excel and other MS Office applications
- Active team player who can work well under pressure
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy of information
- Integrity in handling confidential information
- Creativity in solving complex problems
- Ability to work independently in support of team objectives
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay (by location)
- Colorado: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually
- New Jersey: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually
- Delaware: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually
- Washington, DC metropolitan area: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00 annually
- California: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually
For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges.
