Overview
This role supports the Program Finance team and provides day-to-day financial planning for multiple programs. Responsibilities include weekly/monthly reporting, cost analysis, forecasting support, and ad hoc financial modeling. Work can be based in Palo Alto, CA or remotely within the US.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Program Managers and CAMs to oversee program spend, including cost of sales, R&D expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Lead monthly Cost-Plus analysis and reporting.
- Perform monthly variance analysis for these costs to identify program risks and opportunities.
- Review weekly labor and non-labor expenses; provide metrics to the program team.
- Track monthly spend against forecasts, flag issues, and help CAMs identify trade-offs to stay within budget.
- Provide cost analysis to support contract change orders for assigned programs.
- Assist in leading monthly program financial forecasting reviews to create and maintain accurate forecasts.
- Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles.
- Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis.
- Support special projects and Finance process improvements.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Experience with Cost Plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics; four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, including at least 4 years in a Financial Analyst role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP/Tableau/Alteryx.
- Experience with Cost Plus reporting (e.g., NASA 533M and 533Q forms).
- Prior experience in an aerospace/Defense environment.
- Superior analytical skills, strong business judgment, and ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management-level personnel.
- Master-level skills with Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, be organized and detail oriented, and multi-task while maintaining accuracy.
- Integrity with confidential information.
- Ability to solve complex problems creatively.
- Ability to work independently in support of team objectives.

Base pay (annual)
- Colorado: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00
- New Jersey: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00
- Delaware: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00
- Washington, DC metropolitan area: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00
- California: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00
For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges; ranges may vary by location.
