Overview
A rapidly growing SaaS business focused on safety and security across various sectors including healthcare, higher education, financial services, telecommunications, utilities, and energy is seeking a Financial & Revenue Operations Analyst. This role is essential to the Revenue Operations team, providing financial intelligence that supports decision-making across Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Executive Leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own the full reporting cadence: weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Produce leadership-ready financial forecast reports.
- Complete structured monthly financial reports covering business financial metrics with accuracy and variance analysis across all segments and geographies.
- Build financial data packages for quarterly business reviews formatted for executive and board-level requirements.
- Provide historical data, trend analysis, and financial modeling inputs to support business reporting and revenue target setting.
- Identify and communicate drivers of variance between forecast and actuals.
- Maintain and improve the revenue forecast model, including ARR, TCV, ACV, and renewal economics, ensuring data integrity and auditability.
- Manage sales commission and compensation reporting by pulling closed deal data and performance metrics from CRM and reporting systems, validating data accuracy.
- Compile commission calculation workbooks applying plan logic and prepare submissions for the compensation team.
- Deliver reconciled commission data files on schedule, flagging exceptions for review.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales compensation plan structures to ensure correct data extraction and logic application.
- Keep organized records of commission data pulls, calculation files, and submission history for compliance.
- Collaborate with system administrators and leadership to ensure data quality.
- Build and maintain advanced Excel workbooks for financial modeling, commission calculations, and ad hoc analysis.
- Identify and address data quality issues across reporting sources.
- Leverage AI tools to automate report generation, summarize data sets, and surface insights.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual, repetitive tasks in reporting and commission workflows.
- Stay current on emerging BI and AI capabilities relevant to financial reporting and revenue operations and recommend adoption.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to reconcile CRM-reported revenue against ERP actuals and support close processes.
- Prepare executive-facing summaries and financial snapshots for leadership meetings, board preparation, and investor reporting.
- Extend the reporting model developed for a specific product group to additional business units over the next 12 months, serving as both analyst and institutional knowledge carrier.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of experience in financial operations, revenue operations, sales operations, or related analytical finance roles; or 6+ years of finance operations/analysis experience.
- Proven experience producing recurring financial reports and forecasts in a corporate or SaaS environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, nested formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, scenario modeling, data validation, and structured workbook design.
- Experience with Zoho Analytics or comparable BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot or Salesforce for reporting and data extraction.
- Fluency in ARR, TCV, ACV, pipeline coverage, win/loss rates, renewal economics, and forecast variance concepts.
- Ability to travel under 25%.
Compensation & Benefits
- Target base salary range: $105,000 - $115,000 USD, dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
