Overview
A growing ecommerce-focused organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to lead financial planning and operational analysis. This role offers high visibility and the opportunity to influence the company’s financial trajectory by owning the entire P&L and collaborating cross-functionally across departments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated finance partner for department leads and business partners, providing financial insights to drive cost efficiency and manage budgets.
- Lead the evolution and maturation of the FP&A function by identifying and implementing automation tools to reduce manual reporting and move toward continuous accounting.
- Own, manage, and administer internal financial reporting, modeling, and forecasting tools that support financial insights and communication.
- Facilitate the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment between departmental spending and long-term strategic goals.
- Analyze key financial performance indicators such as customer profitability, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and retention; translate data into clear narratives.
- Build complex, dynamic financial models to evaluate new market entries, product launches, and capital allocation strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in FP&A, Investment Banking, or Strategic Finance; experience in Ecommerce or SaaS is a strong plus.
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience with FP&A platforms (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker), and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct).
- Ability to build financial models from scratch and cleanly structure complex data.
- Excellent communication skills to explain budget variances, financial outlook implications, and identify operational gaps.
- Proven experience owning and administering financial forecasting software, maintaining data integrity, and evolving financial models.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary ranges by location:
- National: $144,000 - $152,000
- Los Angeles: $149,000 - $157,000
- New York: $156,000 - $165,000
- San Francisco: $172,000 - $182,000
- Compensation includes base salary; some roles may be eligible for commissions, annual bonuses, and overtime pay.
