Staff Accountant - Client Accounting Services

Overview

This fully remote Staff Accountant role supports client accounting services for multiple clients. The organization is expanding and seeking two (2) Staff Accountants who can own a book of clients and deliver clean, accurate, up-to-date accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on an ongoing basis
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
• Record and review journal entries for payroll, revenue, accruals, and adjustments
• Support month-end close with accuracy and consistency
• Assist with cleanup of prior-period books for new clients when needed
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to ensure work is completed on time
• Occasionally join onboarding or client calls when clarification or support is needed

What Success Looks Like

• Clients’ books are consistently clean and current
• Bank feeds are reviewed regularly, not ignored until month-end
• Clients feel confident with timely responses and clear communication
• Ability to manage clients with varying levels of complexity
• Work consistently throughout the month instead of cramming at the end

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a public accounting or outsourced accounting environment
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and how financial statements work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Cleanup experience is a BIG PLUS
