Staff Accountant - Client Accounting Services

Overview

A remote accounting and advisory organization is expanding and seeking two (2) Staff Accountants for Client Accounting Services.

This is a fully remote role focused on managing real client books and supporting accurate, timely financial reporting. Standard workload averages 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and availability during core business hours.

Base compensation: Up to $72K + bonus + 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (the compensation section also states a competitive base salary up to $80K DOE).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on an ongoing basis
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
• Record and review journal entries for payroll, revenue, accruals, and adjustments
• Support month-end close with accuracy and consistency
• Assist with cleanup of prior-period books for new clients when needed
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to ensure work is completed on time
• Occasionally join onboarding or client calls to provide clarification or support

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a public accounting or outsourced accounting environment
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and how financial statements work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior-period cleanup experience (noted as a BIG PLUS)
