Staff Accountant - Client Accounting Services

Overview

This is a Staff Accountant role focused on client accounting services in a fully remote setup. The organization is expanding and seeking two (2) Staff Accountants to manage an owned book of clients in a high-trust, high-accountability environment. This role is not data-entry bookkeeping—responsibility includes real accounting work with direct client impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on an ongoing basis
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
• Record and review journal entries for payroll, revenue, accruals, and adjustments
• Support month-end close with accuracy and consistency
• Assist with cleanup of prior-period books for new clients when needed
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to ensure work is completed on time
• Occasionally join onboarding or client calls when clarification or support is needed

• Clients’ books are consistently clean and current
• Bank feeds are reviewed regularly
• Clients receive timely responses and clear communication
• Comfort managing clients with varying complexity
• Steady work throughout the month rather than cramming at month-end

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting; public accounting or outsourced accounting environment preferred
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and how financial statements work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Cleanup experience (BIG PLUS)

• Base salary up to $72K + bonus + 100% employer-paid benefits (as stated)
