Staff Accountant Greece

Overview

The organization is seeking an Accountant for Greece to join its International Finance team, reporting to the International Controller within the Control & Accounting function, with key collaboration across the Finance Business Partner structure.

This role focuses on maintaining robust day-to-day operations for a remote team, producing accurate and timely management information, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and working with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure reporting requirements are delivered with quality and on-time in line with the reporting calendar.
• Liaise with Business Partners to support routine and ad hoc analysis and reports that identify areas requiring further attention and analysis.
• Support the implementation of new business processes with global and regional teams.
• Ensure an appropriate controls environment is in place, working alongside internal audit and compliance.
• Support internal and external audits, including timely clearance of auditor findings and management recommendations.
• Review local filings, including tax and VAT.
• Work with a remote team based in India.

Requirements

• Experience with accounting operations and producing accurate, timely management information.
• Familiarity with accounting and tax regulations, including VAT.
• Ability to liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Experience supporting audits and resolving auditor findings.
• Ability to work effectively with remote teams.
