Staff Accountant
Overview
A nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to support its mission of providing individualized care for patients with chronic kidney disease. This remote position involves preparing monthly financial statements, verifying general ledger entries, reconciling balance sheets, resolving discrepancies, and manual data entry into the general ledger.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, five 8-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM CST
Compensation: Starting at $48,000 annually, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare and enter journal entries
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts
- Review financial statements for accuracy
- Research and resolve general ledger account discrepancies
- Communicate with accounting personnel (Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable) and clinical staff to ensure account accuracy
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting or 2 years of relevant experience in general ledger bookkeeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Problem-solving ability

Location
This is a remote position based in the United States with a preference for candidates in the Nashville, Tennessee area.
