Staff Accountant

Overview

A growing accounting and tax firm is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their Client Accounting Services team. This role involves managing a portfolio of small business clients by preparing monthly financial statements, reconciling accounts, assisting with sales tax filings, and supporting clients in maintaining accurate books and understanding their financials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Record payroll, depreciation, and other journal entries
• Assist with sales tax preparation and filing
• Process client bill pay and invoicing
• Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online questions
• Maintain accurate and timely work within established workflows and deadlines

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or client accounting experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience with QuickBooks Online
• Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and meet recurring monthly deadlines
• Resident of Georgia with authorization to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits

• $25 per hour base pay ($52,000 annualized) plus performance incentives
• Earnings potential approximately $60,000–$65,000+

Work Location & Hours

• Georgia residents may work remotely, in a hybrid arrangement, or from the Dunwoody office
• Full-time role with flexible work hours, typically 9 AM to 5 PM

Additional Information

• This is a bookkeeping and client accounting role, not a tax preparation position
• Completion of a DISC assessment and screening questions is required to be considered for the position
