Overview

This role is part of the Strategic Finance team, supporting growth of the organization’s revenue streams through large B2B merchant partnerships. Strategic Finance drives company strategy, enables executive decision-making with real-time forecasts and analytics, and helps the organization achieve its goals.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders (Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue, and Merchant Pricing) to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support
  • Build and maintain financial models to forecast performance, reconcile results, and explain variances across key metrics
  • Collaborate with the ML modeling team to integrate financial modeling with aggregated ML forecasts
  • Establish top-line performance metrics and targets; analyze and report realized financial performance to executives and other leaders, driving accountability for results
  • Design and deliver scalable automated dashboards and analytics for user and financial performance to support cross-departmental and executive consumption

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in fast-paced analytical roles (strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, analytics, etc.)
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to evaluate analyses using strategic business context
  • Strong ownership mindset and intellectual curiosity; ability to think creatively and critically in a fast-paced, dynamic, often ambiguous environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional collaboration and engage effectively with executives
  • Curiosity to build processes and models with/for/around AI
  • Excellent working proficiency in Excel (prepare to complete a financial model case study)
  • Comfort with SQL, Sigma, Cursor, and/or other data visualization tools; Python knowledge is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Grade: I
Equity Grade: 4

Employees new to the organization typically come in at the start of the pay range. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for you and your dependents.

Base pay range (USA):

  • $115,000 - $165,000 per year (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT)
  • $101,000 - $151,000 per year (all other U.S. states)

  • Remote-first role: most roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Proximal roles have flexibility to work remotely but may occasionally require working out of the assigned office. A limited number of roles are office-based due to job responsibilities.
