Responsibilities

    • Building the case for investment priorities
  • Build and improve the FP&A “engine” so that monthly reporting can run with minimal manual intervention.
  • Define reporting scope and cadence (what to report, how often, and to whom), then automate reporting end to end.
  • Design commission and bonus plan frameworks, then:
    • Build an agent/workflow that tracks outcomes
    • Report results and push them into payroll
    • Ensure no spreadsheet-based handoff is required
  • Raise and ensure data quality used for financial reporting and planning.
  • Set up and run controlling and business-partnering rhythms with P&L owners.

    • Expected efficiency by team
  • Use benchmarks to support capital allocation decisions.
  • Support the annual budget process alongside the CFO.
  • Contribute to papers and presentations for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and board meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years owning or scrutinizing financial performance for B2B SaaS, usage-based, or platform businesses, in a role such as:
    • Operator

    • Strategic finance
  • Strong unit economics and profitability thinking, including identifying and pulling key business levers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build AI-enabled solutions that are relied upon in real operations (not demos), including:
    • Architecture
    • Repeatability
    • Quality
    • Security
    • Ability to explain what broke and what you changed
  • Ability to lead without authority and high-level communication skills.
  • Clear fit with a “build and iterate” mindset, including curiosity and resilience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building AI tooling used in finance or internal operations.
  • Track record of creating automated reporting and close workflows that reduce manual effort.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Market-benchmarked salary plus significant equity.
  • 24 vacation days on top of public holidays in your work location.
  • Two company offsites per year.
  • Co-working access wherever you are.
  • If located in Berlin or Lisbon: option to work from the employer’s offices there.

Location

  • Remote
  • Must be within a time zone +/- two hours of Berlin time.

Reporting Line

  • Reports to the CFO.

AI Work Expectations

  • AI use is encouraged in the process, with expectations of transparency about how and when it is used.
  • Full ownership of outputs is expected regardless of whether AI is used.
