Overview
A global data and technology organization serving markets including financial services, healthcare, automotive, agribusiness, and insurance is seeking a Tax Credit Accountant. The company employs 25,200 people across 32 countries and focuses on leveraging data and advanced technologies to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze complex state and federal tax credits, with emphasis on jobs-based and investment-related incentives
- Work with complex state hiring and employment incentive programs such as Georgia Jobs Tax Credit and New York Excelsior Jobs Program
- Evaluate workforce and payroll data related to FMLA credits, military leave credits, and employer-provided childcare credits
- Translate payroll and HRIS data into structured tax credit calculations
- Prepare defensible, audit-ready documentation
- Develop AI-enabled workflows to identify tax credit opportunities and improve calculations and documentation
- Stay updated on changes in state and federal incentive legislation affecting jobs and investment credits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum of five years’ experience with a large regional or Big 4 accounting firm
- At least five years’ experience in state tax credit and tax research
- Hands-on experience with state hiring and jobs tax credits
- Strong technical foundation in tax credit analysis, compliance, and documentation
- Experience in public accounting, specialty tax, or incentive consulting environments
- CPA or JD preferred
- Master’s degree in taxation (MST) or Tax LLM is a plus
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $100,649 to $174,459 per year
- Compensation determined by work location, skills, experience, and education
- Eligibility for variable pay opportunities
