Overview
A global technology organization is seeking a Tax Manager to join their Tax team with a focus on international taxes outside of the United States. This role involves leading tax provision processes, compliance, and operational efforts within a multi-functional global Finance team. The position includes managing two direct reports and collaborating with internal teams and external partners worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead international GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory tax provisions, coordinating with various teams and external auditors
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and reporting requirements for a public company
- Oversee external consultants for timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, R&D credit studies, foreign tax returns, Pillar 2, and transfer pricing compliance
- Manage compliance audits and inquiries from tax authorities
- Support tax projects including acquisitions, restructurings, tax planning, and legal entity assessments
- Monitor and analyze global tax legislation and its impact on the organization
- Research international tax technical issues, primarily corporate tax, and assist with other tax matters as needed
- Mentor and train direct reports and other colleagues to foster tax knowledge growth and collaboration
Requirements
- Experience with tax provisions under US GAAP required; IFRS experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing tax compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy required; CPA and/or MS in Tax strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in industry and large accounting firms working with global companies
- Experience with NetSuite, OneSource Tax Provision, and OneSource Uncertain Tax Position
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and management skills with interest and experience in process improvement, automation, and efficiency

- Experience with NetSuite is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $106,900 to $169,100 USD (varies by location)
- In select locations (Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, San Francisco Bay Area CA, New York City Metro Area), salary range: $128,200 to $202,700 USD
