Overview

A growing full-spectrum accounting firm based in Sacramento, CA, specializing in complex business tax, is seeking a Remote Tax Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work fully remotely or hybrid if local, managing complex pass-through business tax returns for a diverse portfolio of world-class clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee tax compliance for clients, focusing on S Corporations and Partnerships.
  • Review and prepare accurate tax returns in compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax planning and consulting services, advising clients on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and communicate updates to clients and team members.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation highly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax returns for S Corporations, Partnerships, and LLCs.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with a Big Four accounting firm is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $140,000 - $170,000 per year.
